INTRODUCTION TO THE PRODUCTS OF
BIRDWISE

BIRDWISE Avian Health Care - MA products are created by
owner, Cher Angelo who has studied nutrition as part of her
accredited medical curriculum at NEU. Ms Angelo works with
board certified veterinarians still in order to provide only the
safest foods for birds. She started developing bird products
according to the needs of her own birds, then as more and more
people consulted her, asking for better diets for their birds, or
other items to make life easier for them she branched out.
The first avian product Cher made was actually the custom
made perch cover; these are made from thick, soft leather and
molded according the perch size of your choice. It wasn't long
after that her desire to make things better for birds brought her
to the area of avian nutrition which she feels is ever growing.
She tries to bring cutting edge knowledge to birders regarding
avian nutrition as she learns more about it working with avian
vets and researchers.
The second product Cher developed is known as the Casserole
of the Week, a very healthy soft cooked food that is super
palatable to birds. This casserole has approximately 7 layers
and is based on the avian food pyramid and avian nutritional
needs and preferences as far as we know them. In large the
casseroles consist of custom recipes that Cher has developed
at BIRDWISE. Foods are kept frozen in small containers and
thawed as necessary to make a casserole.
At first, Cher developed this Casserole of the Week soft food
method of feeding birds because she needed to get her fussy
eaters to eat more nutritionally. Observing that they liked
cooked human foods best, this method soon became a hit.
As people started to complain about their own fussy eaters,
Cher started making custom diets for them: To this day she has
not received one complaint about the casseroles she has
developed for others. Soon people started to approach her with
not only fussy birds but sick ones. After doing years of
research and consulting with board certified avian
veterinarians on an ongoing basis, Cher went on to help many
birds get back on healthy eating regimes; she has stopped
many birds from plucking using proper nutrition and of course
other methods, and has helped make life easier on chronically
ill birds whose diets were contributing to added health decline.

The next line of foods Cher developed was BIRDWISE Crunchy
Munchies healthy bird dehydrated food snacks. This line
includes several different nutrition items such as dehydrated
mixed or single , fruits, beans, and other such foods. Crunchy
Munchies were a hit so Ms Angelo decided to expand the
product line to include Crunchy Cook & Serve since so many
people wanted to simplify their bird's breakfasts.. Everything is
custom picked and made up according to strict guidelines she
sets forth. The original Crunchy Cook & Serve contains
vegetables, fruits, whole grains a few select sprouting seeds,
etc. All you need do is add a rice mix, quinoa or amaranth, a bit
of all three or the cereal grain of your choice.
The Crunchy Munchy line now even includes all seed mixes
without any additives or nuts or pellets. There is BIRDWISE All
Seed Mix for Small Birds which consists of the largest variety
of small seeds that you can possibly find. No where on the web
or packaged in stores can such product be found with its
diverse number of seed is an All Seed Mix for Medium and Large
Birds as well that contains only larger seeds much more
appropriate for medium to large sized birds. There are no
peanuts or pellets this no waste. A boon is that these all seed
mixes can be used as sprout mixes although rumor has it that
Cher has a secret sprout mix undergoing testing.
Cher decided that since birds love crunchy foods so very much
she would add nuts to the treat line; there is an All Nut Mix for
Small to Medium Birds as well as an All Nut Mix for Larger
Birds. Cher is able to obtain single at low cost by buying in
